Good Riddance Pest Control supports Clevedon District Foodbank

Bristol-based Good Riddance Pest Control is offering free support to its local foodbank – the Clevedon District Foodbank.

Many people are finding it difficult to access basic necessities such as foods, toiletries and laundry products in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current cost-of-living crisis. Seeded by The Trussell Trust, the Clevedon District Foodbank supports local residents with these and other products via its four centres in Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead and Yatton.

To support the efforts of the foodbank, Good Riddance Pest Control provides a free annual pest control survey of the organisation’s warehouse in Clevedon. Pest Control Technician Wayne Gurney conducts a rigorous inspection of the site and offers advice on preventive measures such a proofing and product storage.

Managing Director Paul Bates: “We are all aware of the difficulties many people are having at the moment. Budgets are tight, and organisations such as The Trussell Trust and Clevedon District Foodbank are providing a lifeline to help them get through these difficult times.

“At Good Riddance Pest Control, we are happy to support their efforts, giving them free advice to help ensure their work environment is safe and remains pest-free.”

Preventive pest control and proper product storage are vital for any organisation that carries large amounts of different foodstuffs. All businesses need to take pest control seriously but, when the company is involved with food, that requirement becomes even more important.
